carbs do that...
saw this experiment where 2 chess grandmasters were pitted against each other... one had pasta and the other had ham for lunch.. the one who had pasta struggled to concentrate and stay focused..
one week later, their food was switched and again, the one who had the pasta struggled...

It's like reading the news in Oz that the father who beat up his daughter's rapist got a longer jail term than the rapist -_-"
If this is the case I have to be charged for animal abuse
Coz Goldfish to me = feeders
Gerbils = feeders
Mice/rats = feeders
Hamsters = feeders
Actually come to think of it I have been accused of cruelty already by some bleeding hearts by force feeding my old Gulper and using angel fish as feeders for my Gulpers ![]()
you feed hammies to what sia ? .... ![]()
Actually to be more specific the pinkies of those said animals
My fishes are all predatory. They eat them
People do feed full grown white mice and hamsters to their Gars
I think you can find the vids of those in youtube but it’s quite bloody.
whoa, the vegetarian restaurant i went to take photos of today (and tomorrow) seems to be quite popular

do you at least kill them first ? I'm sure the fishies don't care whether it's dead or alive ....
just pop them into the freezer and they'd go peacefully eh ........ -_-"

You did be surprised
Some fishes refuse to eat dead 'food'
And no, they are thrown in alive

well, these are fellow mammals .....
i think it's easier for us to swallow if it were some other critters like guppies or glass shrimp ... -_-"
It’s all the same to me
If you separate the critters, it’s saying that one life form is much more valuable than the other
Anyway in nature, fishes do eat mammals you know.
Gars do eat stuff like monkeys and Sloths that fall into the river as well as other animals like ducks etc
Heck someone posted about a headless large monitor lizard found near which reservoir and the suspect was an Arapaima
yeah, but the idea of feeding small, cute, furry critters to predators ..... -_-"
on youtube some chaps posted vids of white mice being fed to frogs .... the froggies can barely wrap their maws around the mice, and you can see the mice struggling pitifully for a long long time.
Those are Pacman frogs. Some people feed them live baby chicks
Well they do feed that way in the wild. They are like sitting jaws of death.
If they were not banned by AVA I would have purchased the Pacman frog. I think they are as cool as heck
And yes I will be feeding them mice and hamsters alive because they are ambush predators and don’t eat dead food.
Oh, you see mice & hamsters as cute furry critters, I see them as rodents
When you think of them as rodents, you feel less seriously, though they may look cute
frogs can't see things that do not move...
the moment things move, the pacman frog pounces

are the stuff used in herbal soup called wolfberries?
well, I've kept hammies before ... and you may recall that my landlord in canada had a white mouse named poh, whom I fed beer and johnny walker to ....
so it's hard for me to think of them as food for other pets ..

I kept hammies before too
I had 4 of them too (think their names were Goldy, Snowy, Pudding & (I forgot))
But I have no problems thinking of them as food for other pets
I see them as part of the food chain
Like if my Gulpers eat one of my asspensive fish, I'll bitch but I won't blame the Gulper because that is their nature and the fish that got eaten ...well it belongs to the lower end of the food chain
