  Sigh.... continuing from what I said last night about tuition....

  Late last night I got a call from a mom.... she apparently had read my tuition ad and was interested in hiring someone to teach her son Sec 3 Pure Physics and Chemistry....

  We had a pretty good conversation where she asked me about my qualifications, experience, and what I was currently doing.... 

  Then she asked, 'How do I address you?'

  Me: Call me ****** [most of you know my real name].

  At that point, her tone just seem to change and she just quickly said 'Oh ok, let me think about this. Bye.' Then she just hang up.

  Sigh.....

  in other news, my mad boss wants to mess with the official logo of the organisation...

  I had that a couple of times too.

   

  Anyway, note to self: Never attempt to run with a headache.

  Managed to complete 700m before I had to head home. My dinner consumed later was reproduced and I was forced to call for lights out.

  nah.. there is an official guide to the logo, so the vendors do what they can if they are to print the logo in 1 colour on a mug (for souvenirs)

  she doesn't like it (although it's been done again and again.. so she's going to "tweak" the thing..

  I dun think it's becoz of the gender...

  The mother would have already known fs' gender from the conversation... and it's a son, so it shldn't matter if the tutor is a male...

  okay.. saved...

  i found something with a one-colour logo which looks hell of a lot better than her proposal...

  i showed it to her.. and she agreed...

  i took a picture of it, and sent it to the vendor...

  bad solution to non-existent problem averted

  some people have prejudices... unfortunately, that's the reality of things which we have the power to change in our generation and hopefully the generations after us...

  but it's going to be hard, we just have to look at the whole lot of idiots out there who are ignorant, belligerent, bigoted and proud of it..
