Not entirely true. Pre-orders from reputable online dealers are very good. I've done so myself.
But HMV singapore, like most local stores, is well-known to be very fucked up lah, the guy was stupid.

On my part, I always try not to be an early adopter of new technology or other stuff.
Say, if there's a new album coming out, I'd rather listen to what other people have to say about it first before I actually buy it. If there's a new piece of techno stuff coming out, I'd rather just wait for its official local release and buy off-the-shelf than try to place preorders.
Dollars to donuts say that by the time the iPad officially hits our shores, iPad v2.0 will come out just three months after that.

theres a church near paya lebar that is specialised for the elderly one.. my grandparents used to go there when they were still alive.. mostly dialects speaking services, and although it does not sound nice, but they kinda specialise or rather are very experienced and professional when it comes to funeral services..

i will say apple is kinda similar to the japanese.. they think about the users and gives functionality to their products, and at the same time, they make all their products look good..and of course their customer service is also excellent.

I think for Apple you are paying for the intangible factor that you are cool if you own an Apple
If you look at it, the functions are really not up-to-date and somewhat lacking
Which makes Apple a marketing success
Anyway I think the iPad is an expensive overhyped internet browsing platform
And no I’ll not be buying an iPad
(I also happen to think an iPhone is an overhyped phone good for nothing except for playing games)

the cool factor is among young students la..but even now its so common already..
ipad is overhyped i agree..
iphone is a genius.. everyone has a phone, and there're plenty of them out there, so they gave consumers the next step in phone technology with the applications and games function..
their best move was the launching of the ipods 7 years ago..that was really the breakthrough in mobile music technology.

that was a problem with the first few versions of the ipods also..
and if im not wrong, there were some apple laptops that have shorter battery life too..
maybe they focus too much on other stuff that they forget about batteries..
