  fudgie fasts from one meal to the next, no ? ......

  just that the time between his meals are from dawn to dusk .......but mine's a bit less, that's all ....

  kopi and me do intermittent fasting too, to give our digestive systems a break. 

  but obviously we drink water and unsweetened coffee and tea

  having explored gluttony, have any one of you explored the other side?

  there was once a "40 hour famine" organised by some group to highlight world hunger and raise funds for charitable works... this was in the early 1990s when i was in uni.. i joined in too.. bloody heck, i was HUNGRY after that...

  but after 40 hours, i kinda felt bloated after only half a souvlaki

  I see no reason to go beyond 24 hours

  hmm.. I had suffered about 45 hrs with only 1/3 of a leftover chicken frank and 2 bottles of water....:(  that was when i was in Padang, right after earthquake. (i gave all my uncle toby bars and tibits and food and tshirts and antiseptic wipes, shampoo...literally emptied my suitcase) to the driver whose house collapse and his baby and kids were hungry)..

  the only food we had is when we reached KL airport the 3rd day.. i managed to grab a burger and a drink...

  I've suffered 10 straight days of combat rations, all of the same menu ....

  I guess that counts for something.
