mom's all right already... they don't know what happened to her but she was in hospital for a while for a barrage of tests which all came back negative...

it should be adding up to be a pile of crap as Apple is now the new Microsloth... they are blocking all kinds of apps and all kinds of stuff which would make the iPhone an awesome tool to have.. now it's just a locked-up pretty thing...
now, Android phones.. they're awesome.. if only the idiot telcos here would let us access the paid apps

By failing to collect the entry levies, Marina Bay Sands would also have flouted Section 116 of the Act — which makes them liable to disciplinary action.
This may come in the form of one or more of the following — cancellation or suspension of a casino license; receiving a letter of censure; the variation of the terms of a casino license; or being fined not more than $1 million.
Sunil Sudheesan from law firm KhattarWong said: "Frankly, I do not think that CRA would take any action in this case."
He added that tweaks to the existing laws may be needed to provide for "special circumstances", such as fires. — CNA /ls

well, the whole $100 levy is fucking stupid...the gabrament wanted its cake and also to eat it.. but it ended up with most of it in their money-grubbing face

actually we could have daily night buses as like Hong Kong but I've a feeling the resources is very tight in Singapore over labour issues.To think of it, probably because of e past also over sales of alcohol after hours.

I still have my iphone..... the 3G version and I am still loving it. Yes, it can be annoying sometimes when you can't access sites that have flash since Apple doesn't support it.
I recently renewed my phone contract for another 2 years and got the new HTC desire (android phone). Since I am still crazy about my iphone, I let hubby have the HTC. It's quite cool..... not as intuitive and user-friendly as iphone but once you get into it, it's just as good.

it's not only flash.. now they've also killed a pile of tools which developers use to write apps which is like killing the goose which laid the golden eggs...i'm a mac user... i fear the day when the maniacs out there decide to stop targetting MicroSloth and go after Apple instead... and the OS will end up being riddled with trojans and viruses and whatnots...

It's just a matter of time I think..... when something become popular, they will automatically become the target. Let's hope Apple will do something about it before it happens. I am a mac user too so I share the same concerns as you.....

The problem with Apple is that they seem to have the 'Father knows best; the consumers are morons' mentality....
Adobe Flash may have its issues, but Apple should simply give consumers what they want until something better gains widespread acceptance.
It's just like how they took out the floppy drive from the iMac back in 1998. Yeah, people no longer use floppy disks these days, but Apple was at least five years too early to have taken out the floppy drive.

What got my attention was the sighting of a basking shark near San Diego (Los Coronados can be seen from the bay). Wish I was on board the boat. :(
