I JOIN the many Singaporeans saddened by the death of Ah Meng, our very own icon.
My letter is about Ah Meng's burial site. From what I have read in the newspapers, the site is close to the edge of Seletar Reservoir.
I am concerned over the potential health hazard to our water supply. Can the authorities comment on guidelines on burial grounds or sites?

If we were to take his argument to its logical conclusion, then we should ban tourists, NSF recruits, obese people, pregnant women, wheelchair-bound people, people reading The New Paper.....
After all, they all take up standing room for two people, no?

He himself admitted as much: thousands of people carry backpacks on trains every single day.
He certainly never thought about people who must carry backpacks..... such as students, NSF recruits, and tourist backpackers.
Freak, man.... I suppose he wants me to carry my netbook + journal papers + research notes et al in my own hands every single day? He should go fly a kite.
And yeah, pregnant women, obese people, handicapped people, and people on crutches also take up more space. He might as well just go full hog and ask for them to be banned.
