It generally takes twenty minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it's stuffed. You just proved that today. ![]()
Anyway, I just read another thread..... I can't believe how some people really don't seem to know how to plan ahead a little when it comes to studies, and then whine about how other people never really advised them....
I mean, come on lah.... this is all about personal initiative.... sigh....

It's just like the 'What has the Singapore Government done for me?' thread.....
As everyone else pointed out to him..... what has he done for himself?
Sigh..... personal responsibility and initiative has gone out of the window.....

everything is easy to blame others. Sometimes comments abt things when they're no better either put it crudely.
if these people do not breed, it's okay..
but when they breed, they breed the next generation of irresponsible braindeaths

For my JC tuition students, there are actually some who really take responsibilities for themselves. And I'm rather impressed by what some of them do to take charge of their own grades and change themselves.

My best tuition students are those who actually work hard and are willing to learn.
My worst ones are those who couldn't give a damn. I remember quitting one job because the kid was more focused on doodling and drawing cartoons than on the stuff that I was trying to teach him.
Hell, he tried to smoke me by writing all sorts of nonsense for the book reviews I made him write to improve his English. Nice try, kid, but you can't smoke me when I've already read those same books before and know their plots inside out....
When I quit, his mom offered to cut my hours and raise my pay in an effort to get me to stay.
To which I told her straight: 'Your son's attitude is wasting my effort. And when my effort is wasted, then I'm just cheating you of your money.'

I shake my head at stories of parents who refuse medical help to their dying children, claiming that God will listen to their prayers and help them....
The thing is, what if God did hear those prayers and sent help in the form of doctors, medicines, and hospitals?
Or how about irresponsible Malay parents who do not seek employment but claim that God will help them provide for their families.... the thing is, what if God does provide by giving them employment opportunities in the classifieds?

That's so true.
Reminds me of a classic joke... on how God sent a boat, a helicpoter to save someone... think you should know that joke
