don't just start lifting like this, like bear, go check with a physiotherapist or something what you can and cannot do first. and get someone to show you show to do the exercises with the correct technique and form. lifting weights is very beneficial but can also hurt you if you're doing it wrong.

Haha, her dog is a mongrel but very lovable and for some reason he loves me very much
I do spoil him quite a bit and my friend was like maybe I should leave him with you since he don’t want to leave your house.

They all run away/kick me/paw me off when I try to stroke their backs.

they're feline predators... so a different tactic is needed..if they do not accept you immediately, you have to slowly win their trust...
don't look them in the eye.. look away from them.. go around their vicinity but do not look at them.. no sudden movements...
after a while, you can try to tempt them with a treat or something.. hold it in your hand, while not looking at them...
it may take some time, but if they come towards you, still without looking them in the eye, make soothing noises or talk to them in a gentle voice.. let them take the treat out of your hand... then slowly stroke them gently...
after a while, they'll be all right with you

I actually managed to get one of them to lick my hands.
Then apparently she realized that she was licking the wrong person's hands.... as soon as the FS appeared, that feline immediately kicked me away with her hind legs.

Yesterday I missed out on taking home a kitten
It was so pretty too. Looks like a Siamese or Burmese mix
Was abandoned outside the office and I couldn’t take it because my boss was around and by the time he left, the kitten was gone.
I think it’s not fated since MPB hates cats
