  I went out with an old friend last night in the end

  Apparently he is back in SG from Sydney because he got a really good offer here.

  Went for dinner/supper and we talked for quite a bit.

  And of course once I reach home, I have to look after the pets before going to bed

  reminds me of a story my aunt told me. she used to have this really nasty boss who would fly off the handle and scream at every little thing/mistake.

  on the day of her colleague's last day, during the interview, he told the boss:

  colleague: actually my uncle is a director of the firm.

  boss: why didn't you declare this in your HR application form?

  colleague: it should have been my uncle who should declare since he was appointed after i joined the firm

  Okay that's it.... I'm not going to renew my subscription to Runner's World....

  After my last issue failed to arrive, I checked my account with the website.... one of their webpages said that my subscription expires in September, while another webpage said that my subscription had already ended.....

  Add to the fact that those damn morons still refuse to include my postal code after repeated reminders (and I received acknowledgements that they had received my reminders and updated my address accordingly).....

  Think I'll just read Men's Health or something.....

  someone in the office just changed her name... it's the drama queen

  get this: because she's getting married...

  and no.. this is not a matter of changing her name into a "married name"

  this is a total change...

  the story is that her original name has the name of her biological father so her name is xxxx binte xxxxx

  her mom got divorced and married her stepfather who is hindu...

  now she's getting married to some guy who is of the "brahmin" caste.. she went to india and all that shit to meet the future in-laws.. who i don't think like her that much..

  so they made her change her name (i am not kidding).. at least the MIL made her change her name.. and so she did

  now she's yyyy d/o zzzz where the zzzz is the name of her stepfather...

  on top of it all, she suddenly became vegetarian because the "brahmin" future husband's family decreed that she should be...

  so she's drama-ing all these in the office... causing havoc with the makan sessions because she suddenly become "vegetarian"

  Instead of beers, sausages and a pork knuckle on his table, he has orange juice, apples and a carrot on his tables instead~
