It’s a really successful marketing campaign seriously
If you talk about functions and practicality it loses out to its competitors
People just want the iPhone because of the image, not the phone itself. It can be rubbish and if it’s thought to be cool, people will still want it.

apple was successful only because microsoft got too big, too easy to hate ....it became cool to be alternative.
it's like singapore .... when the PAP becomes too big, too entrenched, all encompassing, it becomes cool to either be in the opposition, or support the opposition.
and of course, they diversified successfully from their core business, and got into consumer electronics.
It really is clever marketing than anything else ... can all these be attributed to him ? I don't think so .... their ad agency should probably get more credit than this chap.

So pek chek. I had the whole 3 month holiday to get terribly ill. And my body decides to get sick 2 days before school starts. Yesterday go school and it got worse. Today have to go see doctor and take MC.
Not a good start to the term.

Boss wanted to go Xin Wang Taiwan at cityhall so we went there... I had to nag at boss becoz I hate it when ppl play with phones while walking and not looking where she was walking >___>
Everyone had curry chicken chop rice... On the way back, me and boss went to get desserts from Marvelous Cream becoz she wanted to check out something there... zomg... Shiok~~~
okay... back to work...

i lost control and bought 4 discounted t-shirts at uniqlo
but one of them has 3/4 sleeve... i have no idea how to wear a shirt with 3/4 sleeves

Yeah that's true..... seriously, the only true selling point about the iPhone is that it looks cool.
I remember laughing my head off when Apple geeks proudly proclaimed that the iPhone 3G had 'innovations' like message forwarding and a camera..... dude, those are things that every handphone consumer has taken for granted for years....
Speaking of which, Apple is not the only culprit here. In their zeal to be seen as 'anti-establishment', lots of Apple fanatics have ended up being the very villains whom they used to hate so much.
They've turned into snobs who think that they've got the best and diss everyone else who doesn't agree with them.

i bought an iMac and a MacBook Pro because i got sick and tired of BSODs... and basically, i have a dad who opens everything and double-clicks everything... and the viral load in the old PC was so intense it burned the HDD....
cleaning the old HDD was pointless.. one virus/worm/trojan/whatever wrote something in there which basically disabled any anti-virus you tried to run... formatting the thing was pointless coz of the click-happy dad...
he still does that on the iMac.. but there has been no damage so far
whatever Apple did, they did a heck of a job with their OS.. or maybe the virus-writers haven't started to hammer Apple yet...

anyway im sitll abit old school, i dont really care bout the smart phone gimmicks, but i need a physical keypad..and one that i can sms while driving.. touchscreen sms is just too difficult to do when driving..
