You know, dude, a consistency in diet in much better than pigging out behind her back and then eating conscientiously in front of her.
I strongly recommend you do what I've been doing: keep a food log. Keep an Excel spreadsheet of the calorie content of all the food and drinks you've been having in a day.
Then compare it against your daily Basal Metabolic Rate and exercise output.
It makes you more disciplined with what you shovel into your mouth. I credit my weight loss of 2 kg (before fasting) to this simple approach.

i did 4.6km on the vibrams yesterday...and it was a slow testing-speed kinda run...paid the price for it in the evening and this morning! shin splints!
