i nevr understood why is SBJ part of ippt.. like what does it serve.. so what if you can jump far or you can't..

and you don't get a second chance to do it? i mean you've gotta re-do the entire thingy?
Five stations total.
Four static stations: Sit-ups, SBJ, chin-ups, 4x10m shuttle run.
Then there's 1 x 2.4km run.
You fail one station, you fail all, even if you got gold standard for all the other stations.
I can redo it as many times as I want until my next birthday, but unless if I'm confident of passing my chinups, I'm not gonna bother.

maybe you need to jump over trenches. Otherwise you would be climbing in and out of whatever trenches you see and take forever to advance on a battle field

it's just another way to asses the explosive powers of your legs.

yea but regardless of whether a soldier can pass or fail his sbj, he still has to climb over that trench by hook or by crook.
morning club30!
On the cover of ST today: A plea to introduce courses in cooking hawker fare? I think it's an exercise that will be in vain. You won't get the same standard of food that we have today unless the best hawkers take time off to train these people, and they'd never share their trade secrets.
train who? the indonesian maids?
Originally posted by cassie:train who? the indonesian maids?
ITE students! (according to them)
well good luck to them! but seriously...some of the stall owners should send their maids for the courses...if they intend to ask them to cook.
and i may very well have to settle for some hawker fare today - i can barely move let alone cook.
wtf I can so imagine the next gen of hawkers selling identical food everywhere if that happens.
Hawker food will never be good unless the hawkers take pride in their trade and try to do every perfectly. Or they get taught by the good hawker and they follow step by step instead of agaring.
the saddest bit is no one wants to do this trade anymore
i've more or less resorted to skipping hawker fare unless i know the owner himself is doing it

There is no real need to sacrifice meat.... if anything, you need the protein.
Rather, it is all about making healthier choices and watching what you eat. No point eating like a mouse on weekdays only to eat like a horse on weekends.
Keep a journal of everything that you eat and drink, and note down the calorie content. Compare it against your Basal Metabolic Rate and exercise output - aim to have your calorie input lower than your output.
