I don't give a sh*t about whether it is during or after the crisis....
During the crisis: they're a bunch of suicidal idiots. No wonder bystanders got shot.
After the crisis: they're a bunch of idiots with zero EQ. Innocent people were tragically killed, and the site becomes a Kodak moment for them ?!?!?
Honestly, these nincompoops have done more to hurt the image of the Philippines than whatever that tango did.
Back from a whpping session and having a pot of yoghurt. ![]()
I'm annoyed that my grip isn't getting stronger as quickly as my other body parts. I feel that I can otherwise do more reps with heavier weights (in one go) but my fingers give out before that.
looks like there's going to be an enbloc attempt at a certain development at outram .....
one of my clients is going to hit el dorado ! ....

if it was during, wtf were the police doing? and these are idiots who go to the scene of a firefight to take stupid pics?
if it was after, their parents ought to be slapped for imparting their lack of values and consideration to these idiots

considering the type of "news" that comes out from there, it could be that Aquino was actually grimacing or something.. it got caught in a "spray and pray" photography moment and they decided to run with it...

And the MILF.
Ahem... Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

apparently, the president did clarify that he was smiling and he smile whenever there's some bad situation or something like this...
I remember seeing an article on this but I cant recall where...

Well, it was clear that all those retards did smile happily while posing in front of the bus.
At least Aquino can excuse his smile by saying that he was doing so out of relief that the crisis had ended.
What excuse do all those imbeciles have?

I think if they did that sort of thing at Auschwitz, they'd get decked. Taking photos is fine, but at least do it discretely and with respect.

Actually I havent heard much from the MILF since I started reading newspapers 10 years ago. The ceasefire was already in place although there's sporadic violence. The 2000s was full of beheadings by Abu Sayaff.
Hot day. Should I go and run now to condition my body to the heat? Hmmmm

the place's pearlbank ....knight frank leading, I hear they've got half now.
99 leasehold, but the place's a good location, huge tract, high plot ratio, makes sense for a developer to top up the lease.
there are more than 30 units up for sale on the market right now though. And the number of units up for sale is an inverse function of the chances of success for an enbloc attempt ....
of course, if enough units get sold to new speculators, just enough people may vote yes. ![]()

I know a lot of architects were clamouring to preserve the building. It's unique and it has a special place in S'pore architecture and history.

you been up the apartment ?
It looks like a throwback from the 70s .... bare and crumbling concrete floorings outside, ancient lifts, mozzies, the fencing walls around the stairs barely reach down to an average person's waist, they don't even fill in the pool anymore.

One would think that they'd learnt their lesson back then. Looks like it's not to be.
It seems that in their eyes, the only buildings that are worth preserving pre-date WWII.

I have, and it's sad that no one's doing any conservation work. That was what they were rooting for but I guess the authorities have other ideas. You don't see any other buildings like it in Singapore . In no time most of our post-war buildings will be gone.

well mate, this is a private residential development after all ....
if the majority wants to sell the lot to the developers it's their right as owners eh ?
there's quite a bit of opposition to enblocing the place though, it appears most of it were lead by a chap who owns one of the huge 4000 sq ft penthouse units ..... who also just renovated his pad for more than half a million ....

It's their prerogative but I'm only bitching about how things were left as they were for so long.
