it's really tough to have work life balance in Singapore.
A friend of mine who had just given birth told me her maternity leave is only 2 months because she is worried if she take longer than that, she will have no job left anymore!.. The management was very unhappy when she got pregnant and expects her to use the remaining 2 months as half days or what...

the best joke i've heard so far about work life balance: work is your life, the rest is up to you to balanceanyway...what's your friend's leave like now? 1/2 pay? i doubt her firm can do that to her

moe teachers automatically get a D for their performance grading for the year they get pregnant and take maternity leave. -

that's what I told her.. but she is also pretty much a workaholic so .. what to do..
Kekeke that's a funny onee! Haiiiii.. .. isn't it true? I used to come home, do work, and leave whatever remaining time and energy I have to the little bit of housework I could manage. But I think I won't do that now.... doesn't seem to make sense I spend more time ensuring my classroom is neat and tidy.. than I do my home!

So is she just worried or has she been told that she won't have a job anymore?
In the latter case, it's her causing her own stress, isn't it?
Anyway, I've got a fair chunk of research that shows that if people experience conflicts between work and home environments, it's because they choose to bring their home problems to work and vice versa.
