Well, it looks as though I'm gonna move in with my in-laws for the next couple of years until I graduate. Lack of privacy aside, at least we'll save on having to pay for a rented house.
In a way, this whole HDB fracas may well be a blessing in disguise in the long run. At least now we'll have two years to save up for a flat.
And by then we should be able to get a flat of our own with full access to a housing loan.
Oh well. Quite a few of my married/soon-to-be-married friends are also having similar arrangements.
home... hot and spicy charkueytiao makan-ed....

dude, like I told you, you should try for a BTO flat, right now.
you're still in school, still have not yet bust the income cap yet, so do it now, with your papers both of you will bust the income cap in no time and you won't qualify anymore.
tired

Already did try that; couldn't get it.
Anyway, I'll be looking out for future BTOs.
think i should sleep early.. past few nights was late, late, late
yeah, do that .... it's only ten bucks a pop .... never hurts to try .....
one of my mates just got it after 4 tries ....
talking abt BTO reminds me abt Dawson one.... Zaobao reported 23% withdraw rate...
face palm...
dun ppl realise its price range for being in Matured areas?
In any case tis morning's Zaobao & PAP Times reported abt how despo and creative e cig smugglers are getting.

We did try that in the past, and couldn't get it.
Then my mom-in-law wanted to get a resale flat for retirement, and we were going to bunk over. We were damn close to getting it until the new rules disqualified us.
Anyway, the major sticking point is our total lack of taxable income. Right now we don't qualify for any loans. And we are probably not going to graduate at the same time, either, so there's still the chance to qualify after two years.
Oh well. One way or the other we'll still have a roof over our heads in the end.
Uhh, what's a BTO?
built-to-order ......
HDB no longer prebuild flats and flog them after ......
they'll only start building a block after there are enough bookings ....
"Built to order"? Almost sounds like they're trying to cover up the carbon-copy nature of HDB flats.
oh, the newer flats are pretty nice mate ......
like this dawson place ..... the units are all two stories with a super tall ceiling in the living room ...... cept for the pool and the jaga at the gates, it's really like some pricey condo .....
thinking of buying mooncakes

What happens to the furniture that you guys ordered?
Horrific. Now I remember why I stopped taking trains if my lesson ends at 6pm.
I tried it yesterday and I was darn near squeezed to bits. Who said our trains are "not as packed"?
I was in the train that came right after the previous one. I can't imagine how the people inside that one will survive, especially when the gap between that and the preceding one was a shitty 6 min at the peak-peak hr!

We'll be taking home some of the furniture that we need, like the dresser.
As for the rest, such as the sofa set, the furniture store owner has kindly offered to store the furniture in her warehouse for a few months.
After that, we'll see. If we can't put it anywhere then we may rent a storage space.

SMRT train frequency is now e most horrible.. I'm not comparing to SBS's NEL, I'm comparing to other ppl like MTR or Taipei MRT...
Whole day compare w/ ppl like Japan, dunno how to compare w/ ppl better than us. Ptui
Circle Line can have 6 mins peak freq, NSL/ EWL 5 mins peak freq. How to ask ppl to wait for next train?
Next thing comes e irritating part of train door closing very fast.. cos SMRT wants to rush their way thru.

Yeah I remembered when MPB and I tried to ballot for a flat we received a notice warning us about our combined income which was a shade close to the limit.
We busted that limit in like 2 mths later which didn't matter to us anymore because we bought a resale
My colleague ballot for the 5th time (BTO), she didn't get it.
She was ranting in FB about it.
She said she will try again for Serangoon site, if don't get it this time, she will just buy a resale.
if BTO is building to order, and that people can be rejected, what's the point of gathering orders to build a place then?

it's like they also scared of releasing to build.
