actually, i dunno..
ever try to do the right thing and end up being treated like pondscum?
once i opened and held the door for the people walking behind me.. and everyone just filed in after the person.. who gave me a look as if i was some kind of lunatic.. and everyone that filed in either didn't care to look up, or again looked at me like i was a nutcase...
when i let go of the door, i was given a dirty look by the guy who had to hold out his hand to stop the door from closing...
no good deed goes unpunished...
many other times i tried to do something, all i got was grief out of it..
giving an old man a seat, i got yelled at...
trying to make way so that an old lady could pass, i got yelled at by the old lady herself!
telling people to make way for someone in a mobility scooter, i got hit by the guy in the scooter and he didn't even care to slow down or look back...
Like what Mother Theresa say: Do it anyway :)
Anyway u are doing it because you want to help. not because you want them to feel grateful. So don't let how someone respond to your help affect your motivation in helping.
=) Not easy I know :)
i know.. i still help..
but sometimes it is depressing...
i gotta run.. going to go meet zora for lunch
before i go...

this comic series is excellent!
=> Subnormality
Just keep this phrase in mind: "If I don't do it, who will?"

Well, I got so pissed off with one I told her."I don't know what you're trying to insinuate. Are you trying to tell me that I'm supposed to lose weight?"
You should see the shocked look on her face.
she could be one of the many suffering from some sort of body image disorder.

people are assholes. the only thing we can do is to try not to be an asshole ourselves.

hahahha yeah yeah.. feisty old men too.. I also kenna scolded by an uncle.. simply cos he was blocking the way and the lift door about to close and I just wanna get out of the lift!!
I didn't even bump into him, I just made little 'movements' like ready to go out (only to realise he wasn't going to move out to let me go out) - then he scold me for being 'impatient' :P

Yeah..... that was pretty much the one thing that kept me going when I was derided and mocked at by those Mat riflemen whom I aided in my capacity as a medic....
I just kept telling myself: Let them be the muthafarkers. Let me be the good guy.

I just got a very interesting, potentially life changing proposition .....
no, it's not fatumnette saying yes, she already did that a long time ago ........ ![]()
nearly choked on my lunch reading what one old school acquaintance had written on her facebook wall ......
if you have some chap going after you persistently even though he knows you're happily married with kids, would you ask, if guys would marry a divorcee with kids, or not ? .... -___-"
In other news, my friend who was trying to resign from MBS had his resignation letter rejected because "the resignation quota was full".![]()
I wonder what that bodes.
actually a lot of technical guys are hopping in and out of MBS and RWS
apparently everything is super messy.

Lemme guess.... so many people resigned to the point where the Chief of HR actually introduced a quota system to stem the outflow?
On a related note, my cousin resigned from his hotel manager job at RWS after just two weeks on the job.
company can stop people from resigning one!?!

good chance based on form?
or might st kilda nick it due to experience?
