This is interesting
this is the 2010 winner for the wedding section of the MASTER PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION
here is a comment : As a Fellow and judge of nearly 15 years, i was both disappointed and disgusted to see the winning image from M.O.Y.
There is no way that i would have allowed this to happen had i been on the Panel, or better still Chairman of the panel. Never ever!
This image neither portrays professional photography in a good light, no...r does it move the industry forward as a whole. As judges we have a duty to steer the industry in the correct direction and hopefully generate more business indirectly from it as a result.
I doubt this image will cause a que at our doors.
I have resigned from the M.P.A. and foregone my Fellowship!

Maybe the judges on that panel liked ‘whimsy’….and did not look at technique etc

Well, I hired a fella to shoot photos at my wedding.
$1588 for two days. Not too bad, looking at his portfolio. At least he's better than some wedding photography monkeys who shoot worse than my sister with her D60.
On top of that, a friend of mine who's an amateur photographer offered to shoot my wedding for free provided that he can use the pics to build up his portfolio. So I decided to take him on as a secondary photographer.
No such thing as funny outdoor shoots with unicorns or anything like that for me.

well i still think people who join these kind of association are morons.
look at the commercial world, they don't need associations to generate business for them.

It was raining heavily this morning in the East Coast area.
This morning, I ranted over some dumbass driver who intentionally zoomed through a flooded bus bay just to get everyone wet.
Yours truly included.

nothing.i got there early for an appointment one time and covered the entire West Mall in 10 minutes. still had time to spare for a slow walk to her house.

ok, rant time...maybe it's not nice to be telling tales but i can't take it anymore
i'm babysitting my colleague's deals since he's away for 2 weeks. i dunno if he's careless/sloppy or it's pure bad luck because i've received 2 calls+email follow-ups from regulators asking "how come this not done, why was this not submitted to us, i told him to submit etc".
just how am i supposed to reply????!!!!

I've got a sinus problem to begin with.... the way I see it, any benefits that running can give my body will be negated by huffing and puffing in the haze.
