Okay, we just did the most MacGyver-like stunt to get out.
The doors have emergency unlocking mechanisms that require us to smash a glass panel, but the techies didn't allow us to do so.
One techie passed us a screwdriver through the ventilation windows near the ceiling.
We then dismantled the emergency mechanism and manually activated it to open the door.
