The SAF as I can recall, can be relatively flexible when it comes to criteria.
If you really wanna be an officer with RSN, even without those so-called criterion, you can also be a spec, and then convert to officer.
Obviously that guy lacks passion and talks like he has one.
but what I've said is true ......
it's implicit policy ..... they don't want people on whom potential opposing intelligence services would be able to get a handle on ......
e.g. bankrupts in the family ..... criminal records ..... unsavoury occupations .... etc .....
yah la

Kranji Reservoir's maintenance upkeeping is really rotting

Like any civil svc jobs...
You declare financial problems while in service, they'll ask why you never declare earlier and you'll hentakaki there. That's the least measure I can think of. They can also restrict movement and some other stuff.
When I was an understudy during one of those boring midnight watches, a regular confided that he was diabetic. He didn't declare because of that. I'm not sure if he's doing a favour to us by doing that, but other than that, he most certainly is an asset to RSN, in experience, and passion.
did he become a diabetic after signing on ? ........
it's hard to imagine that he could have survived all the training and deployments till now .....
I've been wondering
ish e civil service as like wat os would say, just push e scholars up as long as nothing big occurs?

I didn't feel that it was in my capacity to ask, with me not even being a spec at that time.![]()
I think its mild diabetes. Like you said, how could he have survived all of that? But I can't imagine what happens the day he falls flat on his face. Still I wish him and my unit good fortune of course.
His skills as a submarine hunter is really fantastic and it would be a pity to let someone who had so much experience go.

Are you a regular with the armed forces? Are you one of those who achieved a degree, signed on with the armed forces and worked your way up from sergeant to officer? Or was it 'oh i had this friend who did this and that blah blah blah, and that's why I know..'
Enough said.
