I dunno ..... I suppose we'll find out .......
looked at a huge dog transporter that can double as a comfortable, padded doggie house at the petshop the other day .......
think that'll be good for her at our new house ...... she likes something overhead when she sleeps, probably feels more secure ....

My father in law just passed away early this morning at home in his sleep.. its incredible how difficult it is to get a doctor to come to certify death! He usually goes to the polyclinic or NUH but neither provides the service of getting doctor to certify death. Most of the GPs downstairs say cos NO previous record, they can't certify.
Got one kept asking me to call Inspector of Death from police but we didn't want to do tat cos end up may need to wait for the one and only police hearse to come, bring to mortuary then next day then only we can bring back for ceremony.

Sorry to hear that but if you contact one of the undertakers, they can help... if possible don't let them bring to the mortuary or he may be put into the freezer or worst still autopsy to verify the cause of death.
Most old folks won't want them.

yeah... initially too early we couldn't get the 'familiar' undertaker.... so end up calling up all the clinics. but finally one did agree to come up to do this certification...
but seriously ... if need to be prior client in order for GP to do this, then polyclinics really shd provide this service lor! else poorer people who go polyclinic how!
oh no.. sorry to hear that..
as for the death certification, i really don't know what the heck is going on.. i didn't know a GP could say "i don't want to do this"
it's a horrible and insensitive thing to say at a time like that...

My condolences, Shro.

Actually the GP said : I've got a lot of customers waiting! I've got NOOO TIME to go up! You should call the police! Get a inspector of death!!
So.. well... I think the GP outdid himself...although I understand that it is difficult if you do not know the deceased' medical records, it is hard to certify cause of death but... yeah.. the impatient tone is quite uncalled for...
Kuali baba/Cassie : I think we are all ... sort of relieved.. he had been bedridden and with dementia for a long time....
