I told him totally cannot accept a guy who 'declares' his love publicly like this because.. I am a very private person, and I find... it very unnecessary to involve so many unconcerned parties in what is essentially something between 2 people.
Hubby says he thinks the guy is brave and perhaps he 'resort' to this because he wish to pressure the girl to say yes.
I think if a guy tries to pressure me in this way.. its going to be an immediate phail lor!
why drag in everyone when it should be an intimate moment for two?
i'm selfish that way.. i'm not about to share that moment with anyone else except her ![]()

hahah same here.. especially if it is an extra special moment..
I think it is far more 'enjoyable' if not shared with a crowd of onlookers!
Else it becomes more like a performance, than as you say, an intimate moment for two.

Just reached my office.....
Anyway, NUS is apparently having a tie-up with some private clinic for health screening packages.... I'm seriously thinking of signing up with the Executive Package for $75, with another $10 for cancer marker tests....
What do you guys think? Would it be worth the dough?
morning.
what for ? ..... and turn into a hypochondriac if the marker tests show a higher risk certain cancers ? ......

Why wouldn't it be worthwhile? It doesn't seem like they're going to hard-sell other things to you. Is that the cost of each check-up, and do you get follow-ups?
That's what I'm wondering.... I've read a couple of articles on criticisms of health screenings, like how it can lead to false reassurances or turn people into health nuts over really minor issues....
That said, I sure wouldn't mind finding out how well-greased my gears are, if you get my drift....
go for e check up la
ah KB
another construction at your side coming. Tat stupid North South Expressway.
in any case, are they building sheltered bus stops at Shunfu Rd for Sv 410's amendment?

I guess they are... I can't think of another explanation for the ongoing work.

I see
usually for such bus route changes, it's e bus stop pole and designated concrete path (for future shelter construction) to appear 1st for like 1 - 2 mths of bus service.
so just asking

Only you know how aware of your health status you want to be. It may or may not detect anything that's troublesome *touchwood*. My uncle found out well after NS about a heart murmur this way but it didn't stop others from collapsing for hitherto unknown reasons.

Some things are genetic in origin and can't be improved though fitness.
exactly ......
well ..... both sides of my fam have a high incidence of high blood pressure .... so I'm learning to take pleasure in other things, playing with patches .....
I don't think knowing this, or my chances of certain cancers as a fact would do me much good ..... but I'll certainly start throwing a fit if my insurance company wants me to take such a test before quoting me my future premiums .....

If they do you should demand to know what you'll get in return for paying higher premiums.
