Tts why cats are great pets.. u probably need to spend mebbe maximum 40 minutes a day on them!?
5 mins to clear litter bin 2 times a day = 10 mins
5 mins to prepare food and serve it to the boss 2 times a day = 10 mins
5 mins to brush tt short coat and examine ears nose whatever once a day = 5 mins
otherwise, its a self cleaning, self toileting pet!!!
Then once in a while need to bathe, to trim nails etc.
You don't need to play with them though once in a while, they will ask you to (when they are in the mood)... then u will feel like.. waaa.. great personage finally requesting for your time!
Otherwise, they are perfectly happy snoozing on your TV, on your sofa, On your bed, on your bench... on your tshirt...

that's why i can do part time...as in when i go to my couz or bro places...play with dogs etc. cannot have one for myself.

I don't like cats ...... but I concede that cats are self-entertaining ... you can leave them alone in the house all day without qualms ....

Its not true all cats don't feel lonely though.. its just that they are more independent.
When we return from trips, my cat will stick with me so closely i feel paisay if I need to leave the computer to go to the toilet, cos she will wake up from her snooze, just to walk with me to the toilet, then come back and snooze behind my laptop again.
This lasts perhaps about 1 - 2 weeks, and after that, she ignores me again.(except to ask me to open door for her provide various other services)
But she likes company, and she always joins us to watch TV together in the evening. She likes explosions on tv :P and for some reason, soprano singing.

Hahaha as do all reptilesAnyway they do require more care compared to a dog coz they need to bask and all

How nice! I think that having a cat (or cats!) makes it feel more like a family... as opposed to just me and hubby. It's nice to share the love around :D

One of them seems to like me a lot.
My mum-in-law commented that I was the only person that cat would ever snuggle up to.

hee so sweet! There's something very special about being 'chosen' by a cat... .. its really sometimes 'fate'.
My cat is shy about expressing her feelings. She will cuddle to us ONLY when we are sleeping (or she thinks we're sleeping but I think she tells from our breathing)... halfway through we can feel her snuggled up between our legs or next to our bodies.
But come the 'morning after', she will suddenly be safely in her corner of the bed, and when we 'coochie coochie' to her, she'll look at us like we're mad or something.
