I was seeking research analyst positions....but the competition was so stiff that I couldn't secure any. In any case, the window for application with financial intermediaries is pretty much over already.
So now, I'm trying my luck with businesses that have history of having interns.

the thieves were "non-chinese foreigners" (whatever that meant) and the cops said to my dad that they suspect there's some kind of crime syndicate organising housebreakings...
the cops are still walking around taking statements..
!!!!! ......
we received an advisory from the RC very recently too, that there' been a spate of break-ins around the neighbourhood ....
neighbours are all keeping lights on in the backyards and patches have been getting lots of treats as a result ......

this is the strip which av and i were stunned at because it not only hit but smashed and burnt into a raw and bleeding nerve

should i use one of my friends' tactics when he was in Perth?
he and his housemates bought a huge effing bear trap and deployed it in the house after they were burgled..
and yes, it was one of these...

did I told your my relatives upnorth on the break in up there?
I think it's beginning to copy of that a little but not tat scary.
They would just break in even though the dweller next door is at home and it looks as if ppl moving house cos there's 1 big lorry carrying the stash.

my customer in east M'sia say that they leave money in the house for them to steal coz if not they will return to a destroyed home n things like shit on the ceiling

i'm not about to tickle the burglar into submission...
and i think a bear trap would be a lot less painful than if i got my paws on him.. it'll be a lot bloodier but a lot less traumatic for the burglar...
No one is >.<
oh...
I think I posted something abt e SME on e WKS thread... sad to realise our gabrament takes little focus on them these days.
I lamented abt a country w/o SMEs... Many ppl would be out of job

with the min wage for FTs, SMEs are going to be the worst hit
The irony is that with the min wage for FTs, the wage for locals will remain artificially low n stuck
Going to bed
Nite folks

e S pass..
Actually I think they calculated the wrong sums la..
hmm.. something with lots of barbed fish hooks smeared with some kind of caustic paste...
small enough to be picked up and swung... got to think about how to keep it safe when not "deployed"
a spring action to deploy the hooks so that they kinda spring out..
i'll go give it some thought..
all my current clients are engineering SMEs, they are farked over big time but the levy raises ........ there is also a quota for the number of ah nehs you can hire .... 9 banglas per million dollars or something like that ......
it's crazy .... it's not those unskilled banglas and ah nehs that are taking away jobs from singaporeans ....but higher up the chain .... the phillipinos, ah tiong technicians, admin clerks, etc ..... a pinay graduate would take 1200 a month as an admin staff, I know, I saw the payroll myself ... but many of them can't do the work of a local ITE clerical graduate, i saw ..... no locals would take over the jobs of an ah neh general worker at 600 a month .... but I don't see why companies should hire an incompetent pinay clerk when you can hire a much more productive local girl for more money ....
already, one fellow is looking at relocating his factory to johore ....

you can just smear shit on the bear trap like the vietcong ....

So much for "value-add labour" strategy.![]()

i don't want my house to stink.. so something chemical and caustic..
but no bear traps.. maybe something like the insane weapons used in Big Japan Pro Wrestling deathmatches...
or worse...
somehow i don't think smashing light tubes over the burglar would hurt enough

It's really bullshit I tell you .... burmese chaps, pinoy chaps, banglas, ah tiongs, ah nehs ...... with the exception of some of the south india indians I have seen, the work ethics of the rest I've seen first hand, can only be described with expletives ..... one of my clients refuses to hire ah tiongs and banglas outright .... but he's stuck with burmese fellows that also give a lot of headaches.
the powers-that-be can scratch their heads long and hard over singapore's falling productivity ... I can tell you, the answer is right there ...

They calculated e wrong sums.
End up target those jobs that locals does not want to do and worst, those alrdy imminent of shifting out de...
If some of these ind shifts out, lesser foreign currency income riao
You know...
I applied for an internship with a rather reputable bank months ago.
A pinoy actually called me to tell me to do this and that.
I could barely understand what she was trying to tell me.

As for my FT lecturers, some are shockingly absurd.
The latest boo-boo was when this Indian told us he was going to give a re-test to help those who didn't do well for the previous paper. The new score, if better than the previous one, would replace it wholly.
Which is utter bull-crap, since it would render the efforts of those who actually studied useless.
The same cockster set a paper with A-F options when the answer sheet had only A-E. His amended, amended, and amended again answers came up with multiple answers for the majority of qns.
Seriously.
Which idiot thinks that raising the school fees would attract talents?
same goes to my lamenting over the cross border bus svs..
been highlighting the prob that the M'sian buses does not bother to ply into e JB Bus Terminals and effectively running a Queen St - JB CIQ or Kranji MRT - JB CIQ sv.
They told me is open market. Wa laoz eh, the M'sian buses gets subsidised road tax, subsidised diesel, even LTA charges than S$30 of PSV road tax nia and ends up the route 95% is clocked in Singapore now.
They simply refuse to do anything. Open market let foreigners compete on a easier platform
They dun even realise the more they kachiow, the more favouring it's to foreigners
Sometimes I cannot be bothered wat the scholars up there are doing..
but the unintended effect is something they do not realise

I'm thinking a baseball bat or golf club would get the point more clearly across to the burglar. Might get you in trouble with the law though...
