my folks are on holiday ... and I'm charged with watering the plants around the house .......
I hauled out and connected the garden hose .....
and it started drizzling right there and then .....
so I put away the thing again ......
and it was nothing more than that ... a tiny drizzle .... and the plants are still thirsty ....

all the default behaviour you've come to expect in firefox 3 have disappeared .....
like opening a link in a new tab instead of a new window .....
I still can't find where to set the default back to a new tab yet .... if you can dig that out, please enlighten me !

i'm still using firefox 3.0.19
you should be able to do all the settings in tools > options no??

I can't speak for ah guas, for I didn't do BMT in tekong, but in a mono-intake unit ..... and we definitely were not mollycoddled in that place .... later on I had the privilege to witness the workings of much larger SAF combat formations in action here and overseas ..... so I sleep very soundly at night, for I know the SAF would fight well if shit hits the fan .....of course, chaps who spent their two years hauling stores or pushing papers would only see the petty office politics and nuts squeezing that goes on in any large organizations, and wonder what the fark was everything for.

Then again, considering how gaddafi appears to have stabilised his rhetoric in recent years, it might not be bad compared to having all kinds of power struggle that's endemic in Mid East.But then if you fail to help the rebels, they'll hate you and the cycle goes on.

same thing during the reservist too ... there were chaps who went "sargeant, you know I injured my wrist before, I have a family to feed outside, if I injure it again, who's going to be responsible ? " .....
know what was that for ? .... it was during weapons conversion training, when we were learning about the new SAR 21 .... the farker just refused touch his weapon, didn't want to strip it, didn't want to learn how to cock and fire it ... I don't doubt that he won't be around by the next ICT, he'll find a way to wriggle out somehow ....
but for one chap like him in the coy, the rest were on the ball ... we dug shellscrapes, filled hundreds of sandbags, did day and night battle courses, platoon night attacks, MGs, matadors, blanks, thunderflash, smokes, the full works ... and most of us were out of shape late 20s to early 30s fellows ... while that farker napped in the training shed most of the time ... clean and dry ...
but it's chaps like these that would make a lot of noise, get their maids to carry their packs, and think that the SAF is a waste of time that couldn't fight .....
