USS has opened that new roller coaster ride
Talking abt jogging, I've noticed I've been getting abrasions on my tights!
Is it e shorts issue?

One day we should put all our liquor together for a tasting session.

Like you would not believe. Should have bought more than one bottle when I had the chance, but being a tightarse I thought $220 was enough to spend - dumb, dumb, dumb.

Jogging with newspaper ==> that is a problem. I foresee a faceplant in his near future.
Jogging in Kimonos...?.........!??!?! ![]()

evening
Fatum, the way they spend money is scary. Our SC ppl still dun know.
And yeah, some got shocked just how expensive for JB folks to be living in JB now.
if you take a look
when DAP took over Penang. They could immediately find a way to give all schools (Be it Malay, Chinese or Indian) more funding. I think now they're looking into solving the public tpt and housing issue.
No surprising that the bus co in Penang been looking at how SBS operates its buses.
At Selangor & Penang, they could implement no shopping bags day statewide. I think even we here would find it hard to do it.
speaking of our friends up north ...
was just talking to the uni housemate who invited me to his wedding in KL ....
he's just back for the wedding .... after which he's returning to the UK ... where he earned a law degree after graduating in canada ...
they are suffering from a serious brain drain up there .... we were talking about the malaysians we knew in pluto .... only 3 returned home .... one to take over the fam buusiness, the other two because of relationship issues.
the rest were all scattered around, australia, canada, singapore, the US ... it's a pity, many of them moved onto grad school and they all study things like engineering and the sciences ... and it's not just the lain-lain that are not returning home .... the bumis too, surprisingly ...
i'm not surprised, the middle class bumis are being marginalized too

I hope that does not include hiring bus drivers who cannot speak or understand the lingua franca. It's damn frustrating to take a route for the first time and not be able to ask the donkey behind the wheel to tell you when your stop is next.

That was an epic episode even till to this very day.
But elders that I know also commented abt it, those sitting or standing at the front could have helped. We ourselves been living here all these while
Everyone in M'sia as in younger gen wants equality.
I do agree with the neccessity of the foreign talents and foreign bangla policy .....
I just don't agree with the execution ....
but very often, it's the employers that are to be blamed because they chose to take the easy way out .......I heard a bus driver earns 3/4k a month with OT ... that's the kind of wages i'm sure many singaporeans would be interested in ....
I think the challenge lies not in restricting foreign labour, but in weaning employers from this dependency ....

The interns are all dropping out like flies already.
It got worse after they were introduced to new staff as "the call centre".

Why should the responsibility fall on other commuters? They're not paid to do the job of a "bus captain" or "service leader". Plus there's no guarantee that other commuters are getting off after you or know where they're going too.

Young local punks like me might know some of them. Whoever runs these companies doesn't realise that it's done a lot of harm to our image as a tourist-friendly destination.
that's why i'm generally more alert when travelling on buses than trains! there are announcements on trains.
