I still remembered som M'sian asking for directions to Woodlands CIQ.. PRC driver, but he didn't know how to explain.
Apparently the M'sians have not been visiting Singapore for quite some time to ralise that the Old Woodlands CIQ is no longer in use, hence they can only take 170 and not 178 (Which I was onboard). Oh wait, not observing enough.
I simply said, Customs take 160 or 170 n no other bus. ![]()
I rest my case .......

Kampung Buangkok's still there, right?
Now I know a place to take some couchsurfers to...
we made bird traps out of baskets, a twig and a string .... and went after the mynahs and kuku birds ....
we made dragon fly traps out of palm fronts, a stick and some spider web ....
we climbed trees and kept chicks as pets and traded fighting spiders ...
we made fishing rods out of bamboo and went fishing ...
we knew how to dig for tapioca and yams and sweet potatoes and what kind of fruits to eat and what are poisonous ......or what's it like to be woken up by loud sqawking in the chicken coop and see the adults go after the python inside ...
we learnt how to trap freshwater eels .... how to kill a chicken .... watched how monitor lizards and pythons being skinned ...
it's a bit sad to imagine that my kids will grow up as the facebook generation ...

It's already happened, I grew up without these experiences. My first contact with animals was with pet hamsters and fish bought at the old Lakeview market.
