The undergrads have a test tomorrow.
And I find this graph very, very true:
No matter how much I tell them to make consultation requests ASAP, lots and lots of people will still come and look for me just one or two days before the test.

Good Morning......
Myammar had an earthquake..my friend's teenage son is at ChangRai (nearby) for an education trip, school outing to help/volunteer their services at the villagers there.. now all of them pitching and camping under the sky.. the school they stay in is no longer safe..
good thing is his dad been bringing him to offroad trips and jungle camping.. i am confident that he can take care of himself and his schoolmates after all the survival thingy he learnt at the jungle..
hope the boy is safe...

That's crazy. Every mother's son who didn't get an A would want to sit for the retest in hopes of getting a better grade.
I know I would. Every little bit counts - a 5% difference in marks can mean the difference in one whole grade for the module..
It's a slap in the faces of everyone who actually studied and did well the first time round.

Yes.
I'm very unhappy about this bcos this module is very important to me, and I badly needed this little advantage I had grappled.
Anyhow, I'll take this challenge and NOT take the retest because even if I do, I don't gain much, if I do gain anything.
Dang. Every sem's lecturer gets dumber AND dumber.

Dang. Every sem's lecturer gets dumber AND dumber.
Once I had a lecturer who worded her questions poorly.
In one mid-term test, one of her questions was so poorly-worded that it could be interpreted in two totally different ways. Half the class (myself included) chose the wrong interpretation and lost a lot of marks. All our complaints fell on deaf ears.
So for the next test, I was careful. I came across another similarly poorly-worded question. I immediately summoned the one of the PhD student invigilators to explain which interpretation was correct.
The fella scratched his head and said, 'I think it is...... (explanation)...... but I'm not sure.'
I immediately blew up at him: 'I thought, you think, who confirm?!?! Go confirm now!'
And guess what? The lecturer was on leave. So all the PhD invigilators huddled together, came up with a consensus, and announced the correct interpreation of the question to everyone.
Half the class moaned.

I bumped into a long time “friend” of mine today during lunch but we pretended not to see each other although our table was beside each other.
The reason I say “friend” is because I still consider him as one, though he does not consider me as one.
Seriously it’s been 6 years already…… I would hv gone up to talk to him but I respect his wishes to cut off all ties with me till he is ready.
Ironically, our paths always seem to cross be it irl or in WoW or some other place on the WWW.

Nope, not my ex. He was one of my very good friends. We had many shared interests and spent a lot of time together and did stupid things together because we used to live walking distance from each other. I actually believed that a guy and a girl can be very good friends with no strings attached till he dropped the bomb on me on 25 Dec 2004 that he can no longer be friends with me because he thought he could accept that I’m now married and he can’t because he had been in love with me all these years.
He told me he can’t move on if he has contact with me and that he will contact me when he can. Well, apparently he still can’t -_-“

To be honest I thought he was all over me.
He ran away to Australia when he confessed his feelings to me after I broke up with my ex and I ended up with MPB
Then 2 yrs later he came back and things were back to normal and we just continued on like nothing happen
Along the way he had his fair share of gfs too and after I got married he dropped that bomb on me
I was really like WTF.
Now 6 years down the road he still can’t get over it? -_-

I can maybe understand if I’m some drop dead gorgeous beauty but I know I’m not
So why is it the guys whom I had some form of relationship are really…weird (for lack of a better word) or suffer from some kind of hang ups -_-“

as I said, he's delusional... The world is all abt him... If I got frenz like this, I'll slap them awake...Afterall, the world doesn't revolve ard 1 person... He can stay in the past, keep sulking while the whole world moves on without him... Or he can pick himself up like a man and move on...
Every moment he spends in the past and a moment lost in the present and to the future... Instead of terms like "sleep debt" think of it like "time debt"...

Best thing was that time there was this girl who is pretty and so damn devoted to him and I thought there was something going on between them though he denies it.
He is what we call a “Ah Sia Kia” la. His parents are multi-millionaires and seriously he don’t hv to work or do anything at all lor. So he can mull and harp over something forever since seriously time doesn’t mean a thing to him coz he don’t hv to do anything. He’s free to pursue what he likes-want.
