there are saltwater ones ... and freshwater ones .....
those salties i've caught, and seen caught, anywhere from bedok jetty to marina south to lab park ....
the freshwater ones ..... i tossed back one at jurong lake yonks ago .... and a small one at the now marina south lake, before they dammed up the place ... i wasn't catching anything in the salt water ... so I dropped a line into the lake there and this thing came up .... and was quickly tossed back ....

the later spin-offs of stargate were all crap wasn't it??
the syfy channel itself is crap now, it's just another mtv. all the stupid cgi b creature movies u can find in dvd shops were mostly done by them....

SG-1 was highly entertaining during the Richard Dean Anderson days.... after he left the show, it went downhill. MacGyver was simply indispensable.
Atlantis was good. I always felt that they prematurely terminated the series.
Universe just took itself too seriously. Ironically, they seem to have pulled up their socks after the series cancellation announcement last year, because the second half of season 2 is suprisingly quite good.
That said, the upcoming series finale is supposed to end with a cliffhanger.... without a movie to resolve it, there will simply be no fitting end to such a great franchise.
