The best bubble tea can be found in Taiwan, the best kebabs can be found in Turkey, and the best Ramly burgers can be found in Malaysia.
With regards to the latter two, I am extremely scornful of how local vendors prepare them here.
They don't seem to realize that smothering their kebabs with a thick layer of mayonnaise and chilli sauce just kills the marinade. And pre-cooking Ramly burger patties to save time just kills the juiciness and moisture.
*nods nods*
I have to agree... I've ate kababs in turkish resturant b4 (I'm sure the authentic ones in turkish are even better) and it's really better then those in pasar malam >___>
our local food are usually catered to the masses... just like how most singaporean have a habit of adding chilli to EVERYTHING we eat... lolx...

found them tasting somehwat the same other than the colour.the vodka was worse…really tasted like some industrial turpentine or kerosene.used the entire bottle to marinate steak in spore as thats only thing i could do with it.
the whiskey tasted somewhat like vodka but when mixed with cola it tasted great!i also used it to marinate steak in spore too.so all in all…..........liquor has been a waste of time n $$$...didnt do any good with them except to experiment with them from marinating steaks, cocktail mixing and makin cough mixture out of the bottles
Only blended whisky and grain spirit deserves to be mixed with cola...

Cos iris cannot give you accurately either, it's dependent on travelling time (peak or off peak, aft school hrs etc)
Acid> not all singaporeans smoulder their food in chilli. I don't.
KB> I don't think Hit has tasted really good whisky before

i don't. i don't really like chilli as a condiment; if it's cooked with the food, fine, else no go. and i take my chips with ketchup.
@Cassie @Elindra: neither do I... I mean I take chilli but I dont eat things like Black pepper chicken chop with chilli... It kinda defeats the purpose of the black pepper sauce >___>
Edited: Typo...

And yeah, there always seems to be a crowd there. To the point that they actually use a numbering system (like polyclinics) and place benches outside the shop where customers can wait for their turn. Really.
I don't see the point, really. It's just tea.
And I thought bubble tea is so last decade.
you should try their green tea macchiato ![]()
