i wonder also.. some are outright horrible..
but there are a lot of horrible workers who seem to be immune to being fired, worse, they move up the ladder

my team head. he asked for comments on paper prepared by another team. did that, sent it to him for him to incorporate his.so i expected him to include his, returned it to original team. he sent it to the secretariat with his comments marked up.

ministry of foreign affairs got whacked big time these past few years ... first balaji as MFA senior minister of state died, now george yeo and zainul got voted out ....
maybe it's a good idea for raymond lim as second minister to take over MFA .... he's caught enough flak in transport, and like CSM he's a rhodes scholar also ....

najib up north just said that it's good that there is "continuity" ... and so the pacts between the two countries would be "honoured" .....
I suppose he and all the others around us didn't get their chance to "test waters" this time round ......
outsides vultures gather at every elections .... I'm sure whoever takes over MFA will have to face up to "water testing" from the others who would be so glad to see singapor screw up ....

Tat's why whoever tat does not recongise GY's role as FM would soon regret terribly. I admire how he & Prof S Jayakumar stood up against upnorth's water threats.

Scary part is things like inflation everyone is facing it, and if we go look around, ppl upnorth are feeling it more

what people like najib says in public,reflects what people would do out of the public's eye ... i'm sure they'll try ... too many around us are so eager to see us screwed ....
foreign affairs is one of the key critical functions of any state, you'll notice that countries tend to put in some of their best into the foreign ministry. we have only put in heavy weights since independence, rajaratnam, wong kan seng, dhanabalan, jayakumar, george yeo ...
whoever takes over would have big shoes to fill.
whatever the cause of it, whoever one pins the blame too, Singapore has been done a disservice with George yeo's exit.

I'm suffering from one now.. heng he's not moving up the ladder.. since our hierachy is pretty flat.. but its still.. painful... how someone can be so consistently and determinedly irresponsible.
