Nope. Just that he have a good price and the fishes I want. He got contacts for quality Japanese fishes which is damn hard to do because the Japanese don't wanna sell to foreigners one.Eye candy is just a bonus nia.
Other point is most of my friends hang out at his shop too so good to go there to chat lor

halal beer = non-alcoholic beer
anyway, the Egyptians translate it as "wine" meaning wine and not all alcohol and some of them imbibe in beer.. which is part of their heritage as the ancient Egyptians were the first to brew beer

There are a few well-known and long-established brands of 'halal' beer. Most commercial brands of ginger beer (e.g. Schweppes) and root beer (e.g. A&W) contain no alcohol and are sold as soft drinks.
As to why Malaysia chose to ban that particular brand of beer, it was only because its alcohol content was significant enough to deem it as alcoholic.
So frankly, I wouldn't count that as weird news.

sorry...ignorant...what is th threshold for "significant"? is it in the quran or would it be an edict issued by the ulamas of the respective countries?

There is no specified threshold for that, so the religious scholars have to set their own benchmark.
If I'm not wrong, it is usually set at around 0.1% since that is apparently the degree of naturally-occuring alcohol in fruits.
