that's a "small" one ... in the old days .....
nowadays ... any wild seabass caught on a lure is a cause for celebration.

where else do you find them...apart from punggol?

you can find them anywhere around the coast ... but they are an estuary spawner ... so the loss of punggol river and lorong halus is pretty serious ...
they are also an euryhaline species that is able to adapt to wholly fresh water ....
there are rumours of HUGE seabass being trapped inside the marina reservior with the construction of the barrage ...

oh, did I ever tell you guys the time I was fishing alone late at night at the labrador park jetty ......
and a sea turtle swam by and wandered around the pillons ? ...
it was a magical night .....
nowadays lab park jetty is locked up after 7pm ..... rumour says it's cos some smugglers were using the jetty late at night to offload contraband from indonesia ..

sea turtle? that's rare...only seen one during a snorkel trip in redang...years ago
