Good morning.
Earlier in the morning, I read an email from my prof.
He said: No webcast this semester, because no one turns up for his lecture if he does that.
I fully understand how he feels about lecturing to an empty lecture hall, but isn't that the whole point of webcasts?![]()

I make full use of webcasts where they are available.
Live lecture: you must sit in a lecture theatre, be in proper attire, pay close attention to the prof, etc etc....
Webcast: You can pause/rewind the lecture if you didn't catch a certain part, you can turn up/down the volume, you can pause the lecture to go wee-wee, you can sit butt-naked in front of your PC for all I care....
Which one makes more sense? ![]()
Actually I prefer sitting in LT...
But its an 8am lecture.
Horrors.
And now I'm in dilemma. The transport price is so exorbitant now, buying concession makes sense. The problem is that different routes (different modes of transport) become jammed at different times and so it also doesn't make sense to buy concession. So I'm stuck with the 2 cent increase.
Damn the fare increase.
I voted for WP, got WP, but the fare still increased because the rest still voted for it.
And the recent survey about us...US......is utter bullcrap.
Who the hell actually would believe it.
Seriously.
Bus I might believe a little....for SBST side.
But the survey claimed people became more satisfied with trains.
How can that be?![]()

that survey is either a work of fiction or they asked people who seldom take public transport.
I dont think its fiction la.
The surveyers cant be so deluded also.
Its probably the sample population they asked.
They must have asked foreign workers.![]()

maybe they asked the pap.
Strange the Penny Low incident never appeared on ST. But is it really strange?![]()
But its ok.
I prefer its coverage on less useless news like the current economic crisis anyway.

The trains??? How come they never interview me or my friends
I would have given them a -100 score
Trains have 4 min intervals during peak hours
The air-con is not working most of the time
Everyone is packed like sardines
AND THE WORST THING IS EVEN IF I GO TO WORK LATE THE FUCKING MRT IS PACKED

I thought you jog to work ? ... ![]()
Speaking of jogging, I haven't been doing so since the start of the fasting month....
Obviously I can't go during the day, and most nights I either go to the mosque or give tuition...
On the bright side of things.... I've lost three kilos! ![]()
i think it's the running that's causing the weight to stay there.. ![]()
in other news...

lonely gal or fudge: which bus goes into NUS/takes me nearest to the sports complex?
95. Only one bus if you are looking for the field and the basketball courts etc.
Otherwise 96 and 151 would do also, but you would have to alight at the multi-purposehall side.
That's within NUS...you could also alight at the bus-stop along AYE....but I'm not sure what buses there are.
sports & recreation centre (near the swimming pool) - that's the exact language in the paper.
so any of the 3 will do?
You can also take 198 from Buona Vista. You alight at that AYE bus stop that the evil talking bus was talking about.
I suggest just taking either 95 or 198 from Buona Vista.
oh.. are you guys going to cook curry on 21st?
