I had an unsatisfying dinner at bukit timah, but a pretty good sleep on the bus.

The Citaro is a piece of engineering marvel....with lousy aircon, an exhaust that blows in the face of passengers, and an extremely cramped interior.
Give me an old bus anytime to orh orh.

it's okay... when ppl move on in age, they tend to like things which are common in their time...
some old folks claim their nokia 8210 or 8250 still serve them better then the filmsy phone nowadays

The older bus chia didn't have the wheelchair thing, lots of seats as the 'ground' is levelled, good engine.

But seriously, the ground level tat's it.
They're thinking of widening the viaducts to 3 lane.. But problem is, wouldn't the Rochor traffic bottleneck be worst off?

Anyhow, as long as the driver doesnt jerk the bus, the aircon is good, there's seats, and not oh-so-unreasonably slow.....

I'm already seeing some of the new Mercs belching out black smoke. WTF is wrong with the maintenance? They can't be more than 3 years old!

These days, I'm more obsessed with maximising utility.
It just got crazier.
We are borrowing rocket science literally with the Pontryagon Theorem which was created to send rockets to space (so we heard) to model human behaviour.
Its fun.
But that's about as far as it gets, and its tiring.

Ironically, those new Merc Citaro this time, we're literally the first Asian country to use it...The bus is assmebled in Germany.. Yet to be really tested on our Asian roads
Lots of problems w/ these buses. But the kids love it.. lol

I've heard some bus manufacturers is offering a bendy bus to SMRT for evaluation to replace their ageing bendy fleet..
wa laoz eh...

Well, the cabin is silent and the legroom is better. That's all that I like about it.

someone tell the stupid bastards in SMRT that the bendy buses are screwed up for taking up so much space and being bloody dangerous to other road users
go spend OUR TAXPAYERS' MONEY on some double-decked buses instead
