I really cannot believe that some people want this....
Petain Road should be renamed!
Freak lah, like I said, we might as well strike off 'Haig' and 'Raffles' from the public record since both Sir Douglas Haig and Sir Stamford Raffles had their own skeletons in the closet...

well, the only roads left may be "Mother Teresa Road" and even she had her moments of doubt and was accused of accepting money from unsavoury people to feed the poor
looks like from today's paper..
LTA may also do likewise if M'sia implements additional charges at the Causeway for SG cars, for our car to M'sian cars
Fact is, most of the greatest heroes in history had their skeletons in the closet.
George Washington, the so-called founding father of the land of the free..... had slaves.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt? I'd like to see him explain Executive Order 9066.
RAF chief Arthur Harris? He justified the firebombing of Dresden by saying that German cities are 'not worth the bones of one British Grenadier'.

I think the challenge will be more effective if we switched off the air conditioning for one hour instead.

Some offices, buses, lecture theatres and malls are kept unnecessarily cold. Something's not right if one needs to take a jacket along when our weather's like this. I've lived with a fan at home for a quarter of a century, it's just a matter of adapting.
