  Because the rest have ungodly landing hours (wee hours in morning) and take-off times at Dhaka....although SIA lands around midnight also.

  And also because SIA is the only direct....besides Tiger. 

  And the price wasn't too much over the others.

  Seems like the new M'sian expressway to the JB CIQ has no petrol koisk along the way.. it's telling ppl, forget abt pumping petrol before you leave

  You mean Biman doesn't fly directly to Dhaka?

  I would like to know why my friends struck it off.

  Edit: Now I do:

  In 2008, the United Nations advised its staff not to fly with Biman, citing both safety and security concerns and Biman's unreliable flight schedules. It was made clear that UN staff who flew with Biman did so at their own risk, and would be ineligible to make claims on insurance. Biman's then newly appointed managing director said he was unaware of the UN directive, but admitted that Biman did face problems in managing its flight schedules. He expected the situation to improve with the procurement of aircraft in the coming months.

  Oh well.

  But I look at the cost and I went ok.

  Its about 700. 

  Bitman is about 500 if not mistaken.

  Tiger was 300!
