I just read the TD thread on "reckless driving".
I shouldn't be surprised by the response.
It would appear that:
Being the a$$-hole and overtaking the road-hogger and then putting on brake-light show is perfectly fine.
Being a road-hogger is also perfectly fine.

it's not fine if people are doing it to them...
U'll be surprise at the high % of people in SG thinks that way...

Same thing about driving fast on the road...
They drive fast and no accident = they skill
They drive fast and got accident = other people fault
world revolves around them...

Too many idiots on the road. The last straw for me was the time I nearly got langgar-ed by a Merc while I was crossing the zebra crossing. I had to jump out of the way, and I swear I felt the bumper (or headlight) brush against my foot.
And the driver finally braked some distance down the road..... then he honked at me, and drove away.
Yeah, I knocked your precious bumper..... so what about my wellbeing, huh?!?!?!?

I remember abt ur incident, becoz after that I posted another incident that happened to me also recently during that time...T junction, greenlight to my favor, I walk then the a car tried to turn in at high speed, doesnt seem like slowing down so I turned and stood halfway on the road... The bugger have to jam break...
I just glared awhile b4 walking off... Stupid thing to do but sometimes it's my character

Because of all this, I take public transport far more often than I drive, even though I can use the family car as and when needed.
Better to leave the stress of driving to the bus driver. My sanity is worth more than the most expensive bus fare.

You just glare at him?
I would flip off the driver.
FS has been discouraging me from doing that.... after all, a car is a pretty deadly murder weapon, and the driver gets off lightly if he uses it to kill me instead of, say, a knife....

It pays to pay full attention to the road as a pedestrian....so many accidents that can be avoided if pedestrians do not think of themselves as kings of the road.
It takes 2 hands to clap, drivers by default should always give way to people crossing the road, and people should not put themselves in unncessary danger too.
Once shit happens, its hard to mend the damage....

I just glared at him, then gave him a snicker (short smile/luff) becoz he tot he can acelerate and zoom past but have to jam break...I know what ticks off people like this... They think they got car = king, think acelerate, ppl will run or something, end up still have to stop for pedestrain... This is enuff to tick him off quite abit...
Afterall no need to flip him, it's already my victory But ya, I admit it's stupid to do things like this becoz some unlucky case and the driver and ram u down... not worth it -__-

i stop for people to cross at the zebra crossing, people actually honk at me!
i don't know wtf for but there were a lot of people crossing!
btw.. i'm a right lane driver.. simply because i don't have to look out of cars on the right coz it's a road divider there... and i've had drivers cut out in front of me then proceed to drive at the same speed as the middle lane when there is empty road in front of them... why do they want to cut in front of people and then drive at the same speed as the middle lane, i don't know..
and worse, i've had people cut in front of me, with empty road in front of them and then slow down so much that we are being overtaken by the cars in the middle lane...
