tuesday...
and it's blue...

I read the letter...
and there was mixed feelings...
no matter how u look at it... it is not something which one can decide in months... Yes, months, becoz of the implication of quite alot of things... And that's just the decision justification process...
the implementation will probably take years...
It can start with the general attitude of motorists.....
I have tried cycling on the road, and concluded that if I wanted to survive till old age, I should just do it on pavements and go slower and treat pedestrians as the unquestioned kings.
Unfortunately, when people do acknowledge that perhaps cycling on pavements make more sense for cyclists, some from that said group abuse this privilege and take little heed for people.
So whence the cyclist go? The pavement or the road?
I am for the former.
But that's of course not for those high-end bicycles.

Well, I understand that people sometimes need to cycle on the road becoz bo bian. I too used to cycle on roads, including up and down kemangan Hill (yes, I used to have great leg strength and stamina... Used to >__>)
Many a times, if we observe basic traffic rules, there are no problem... I dun find coexisting difficult with vehicles when I'm cycling on the road... But of coz one can argue that there are difficult drivers (and yes, by that point, they will still be difficult even the 1.6m wide sidelane were marked)...
Not sure if U get my point by finding the scenario familiar... When there is "groups", be it cycling, fishing, worker union, watever...
U notice they will push for things that further their interest... and only furthering their interest... Hence the mixed feeling that I'm having... They are not wrong in their arguement, but the intention they have is ... ... ... >___>
They do have a right in pursuing cycling as a sport....and it is a good thing in fact.
And having the 1.5m space is in fact part of the basic driving code. Too bad, there's too little space here, and also because people do not usually do that and happily squeeze past cyclists!
Kembangan hill is crazy, on the same level as Seletar hills and Lorong Chuan area.![]()

Yes, they do have the right... but if it's becoz it's their right and it allows them to think that they are the king, then I think It's something wrong... There are already areas of live example...
and yes, space is a constrain...
before hand, we have little problem with cycling coexisting with vehicles and pedestrain... There was no need to regulate and rules... people was civic minded enuff...
and now U have people exploring to regulate cycling rules (ie: cycling lane)... More cyclist thinks that they have won a battle against the whole of mankind and than alot of pattern come out >__> anger starts rising and accidents starts happening...
Well....in some ways, racing bikes are in fact a little exclusive.![]()
Another hit day coming up.

Another hit day coming up.
racing bikes, thin frame, light weight...
does not fare well in stability when a vehicle goes pass it... Even without knocking it, the wind "pulled" by the vehicle will cause the bike to become abit hard to control...
Then U'll have the chicken/egg arguement... Some will state that cyclist are not at fault becoz they often cycle blah blah blah and thus it HAVE to be the vehicle at fault... Then vehicle will say they did not even touch the cyclist etc blah blah blah...
I meant hot day.....dang! The hot weather has affected my typing also.
*pants*
Waiting for new phone.![]()
And I'm thankful that I figured that the last week's NEL breakdown was worse than what the sms sent in the morning claimed, and took the good old bus instead.
As it is, after poring through the literature review, it seems that academics are sceptical that building more rail would in fact be cost-effective in moving the masses.
As it is, the majority felt that improving bus services would be more helpful instead.
nice cadbury choc drink this morning; now lunchie
glad i took the day off though going in tomorrow will require massive effort
*fondles phone*

Reminds me of this history professor.....
During a lecture, he kept referring to India as the 'family jewels' of the British Empire....
Everyone was sniggering throughout..... the prof didn't seem to know that the correct term is 'crown jewels' while 'family jewels' refers to something more.... personal.
