They improve public transportation at the expense of private users.
One other way is legislation to protect cyclists.
For example, we can change the rules of engagement to say that cyclists have a special right on the road, similar to an ambulance, and that motorists must give way to cyclists.
Make it a traffic offence not to give way to cyclists, and impose a demerit point.

Ambulance.

His words: Linkie
“If I thought for one moment that by participating in USADA’s process I could confront these allegations in a fair setting and -- once and for all -- put these charges to rest, I would jump at the chance,” Armstrong said in a separate statement. “But I refuse to participate in a process that is so one-sided and unfair.”
I'm not one to judge, but that does not sound like the words of a truly innocent man.

In a way I half believe him. I was told that his lungs capacity is 1cm larger than normal people.
Anyway he was an inspiration at stage when I can cycle from Mountbatten to Changi village in < 60 mins (in a safe and sensible manner of course)

With regards to the Diner en Blanc brouhaha..... here is their official statement.
It sounds as though their local office was the one that snubbed the presence of tau huay and chicken rice at their event.
I just find it very sad when locals deride their own local culture and cuisine as being too 'low class'.

Either way, this is gonna turn out to be the 2012 version of last year's Cook a Pot of Curry Day.
Mr Brown (and others) are organizing their own mass potluck functions on the same day to teach those snobs a lesson.
As Mr Brown so brilliantly said, 'Bring and share food of ANY colour because our tastes are diverse.'
