btw, any idea which is "fastest", "most convenient", "most direct" way to get to the NUS b-school? should i stop at clementi mrt? or am i way off? coming from the east i mean

From where?
NUS Biz-sch is also accessible from Pasir Panjang Rd, but there's a nice long steep slope in the open that could be avoided. It depends on exactly where you are headed within biz.
You could take 95 from Buona Vista MRT, and then drop at the central library, and take A, B or D to Biz.

am coming from kallang/town - planning on taking the MRT; i remember stopping at BV station the last time and then taking the bus. but this was to the stadium/field. so not sure if i should get off at BV since i've zero clue where the b-school is.

Take to Buona Vista... That bus 95 takes you to Central Library... Then from there take Sv A1 or D1 at the same bus stop to Biz School -
will see if i can get a ride from a friend

Try to avoid the buses....really.
Today I waited 25 min for my BTC shuttle even though it was supposed to be 15 min frequency for peak hr.
Not surprisingly it came totally packed to the brim, because the rest of the shuttles MIA also.
So a middle-aged lady ended up plonking her stuff on my lap and complained about the "stupid shuttle"

A few stops.
But the point is that you shouldn't take the buses if you can.
95 is also a horror.
The better service would be 96, but it starts from Clementi Int, and stops across the road from Central Lib instead, but most students acknowledge to be a much better choice.
