  the NEA says no..

  and i think not too.. i think maybe too much of the crap got into the atmosphere and the dust provided seeds for crystallisation and thus hail

  Ah, that makes sense. Ironically, this would imply that the haze situation is, to a certain extent, self-correcting.

  I envision this scenario playing out same time next year: the Indonesians resume their forest clearing and the haze returns with a vengeance. The Singapore government complains, but the Indonesians just tell them to sit tight and wait for the inevitable rain to clear the air.

  and yet they say they are improving when we are being hit by the worst haze ever...
