map of melaka is $13.38
thought of downloading an offline version but it was pretty crap.. looks like i gotta shell out.. or do the hotels or whatever there have free maps? anyone knows?
i googled and got some maps the last time we went
were good enough
and then our hotel did have free maps

ok, here's a copy and paste from an email from my malacan classmate
1) chicken rice ball - chinese coffee shop cornerlot at the famous clock tower/bridge site, i dont know the name.. try the popiah stall stationed outside the shop too..
2) satay celup - Ban Lee Hsiang, Jln Ong Kim Wee
3) nyonya food - Makko or Jeta Groves, Melaka Raya, must try the cendol..
4) mee rebus - a malay stall at Padang Temu
5) rojak - a stall by Bukit Cina
6) nyonya kuih - a stall by Taman Nam Yang housing area, Ujong Pasir
4-6 is difficult to locate, unless there's a malaccan around..
