I'm annoyed by the loaded language that TNP uses by calling Palmer "dashing", and the looling party's action "decisive". They've even painted a picture of a demure girl who turns out to be a Jezebel. It's obvious who they're in bed with.

Palm = Grave mistake
I wonder if I compile the whole gov report from 5 years ago and did a word check, how many "grave mistake" would I get? it seems like a favourite overused phrase for the party...

Its a very strange case.
Its quite hard to imagine how someone can get caught between the winch and rope because the procedures are in place to prevent this from happening. And its one of the first thing a seaman is taught to do and safety emphasis is extremely heavy due to dangers inherent.
Exactly what do they mean by "equipment malfunction"? Only thing I can think of is that the winch moved when the poor sod was wrapping the rope around it.

Same sentiments.
I feel for the crew.
Its really the last thing you can imagine, happening to someone you spend long stretches of time with.
The RSN is a small place and my fb feed is now flooded by them requesting for blood, which obviously the guy lost a hell of.

eh.. flipping some old news... The chaps decided to shift the Woodlands CIQ bus clearance immigration office out to somewhere and the space area became the so called flexible lane? Actually Woodlands's problem is that the factory buses would appear at 1 shot within 1 time belt... woah piangz eh.. Woodlands alrdy have that stupid special lane for the lorry & buses... either config is 2 lane to JB, 4 lane in or 3 lane to JB, 3 lane in...

I conclude that perhaps the Speaker is not meant to come from the PAP for this term. I recall that the Malay guy in the Aljunied team was earmarked for the post before they lost, and then Palmer begins an affair around the same time. Coincidence?

Now it appears that if a by-election is called, the Reform Party's Kenneth Jeyaratnam is going to throw his hat in the ring and go for a three-way fight.
