I watched a few videos..... I was a little apprehensive at some of the workouts, and in lesser hands one can get injured easily.
Anyway, I just found out that the NUS Staff Club gym has a full set of kettlebells. I was planning on signing up for the gym anyway.... I'm a staff member on contract right now while my thesis is being finalized.
It'll cost me a pretty penny, but much less than if I were to buy my own set or to sign up with True Fitness et al.
i use some KB in my workouts at the gym. have u tried TRX? these are pretty good too
TRX..... let's see..... that's the one where they use resistance bands, right?
no resistance - just a band hung on a frame/ceiling etc; works similar to the rubbery resistance band. TRX works better for me though
it's raining so hard now on this new year's eve that another 50 years may have passed
good luck to all the outdoor countdown parties tonite
oh joanne peh

first day back in office...work strength = 10%
Good morning. The one good thing about this cold is that I don't smell any of the unwashed people who are back from their holidays.
I've bought a new laptop.... a Lenovo Thinkpad T430s.
I got it off eBay. Some girl imported it from the US, then changed her mind while it was on its way here. I saved at least $500 in the process.
It's fast and reliable. And with an mSATA SSD cache, it's almost as fast as an SSD without its disadvantages of high cost and low storage capacity.
I only have one gripe about it: Windows 8.
WTF were they thinking when they took out the Start button..... after having a really frustrating time without it, I downloaded some third-party freeware that restored it.

no better from the last 2 days? the cold i mean
win 8 takes some time to get used to.
memorise all the shortcuts and gestures.
i dont use the apps.
everything put in desktop and use it like xp.
The problem is that they took a tablet OS and configured it for use in a PC, not the other way round.
Even that is a problem to me..... I recently had the chance to play with Win 8 in a tablet, and I find Android so much easier to use!
For someone who used every OS version from Win 95 onwards (like, everyone) is going to balk at Win 8.
Actually, half the problems stem from the absence of a Start button, and booting to the Apps page instead of Desktop..... if Microsoft were to rectify this in their next Service Pack, I can say that much of the criticism will die down.
For now, I'm going to use a third-party freeware that restores the Start button and allows me to boot directly to Desktop.

Nope, it's following its natural progression since it started on Tuesday.
