Go and catch it, it's meant to be seen on a big screen. And if you do so in Singapore, Cathay doesn't show useful/distracting subtitles.
good good then. maybe this weekend. if i'm not too lazy
Most musicals are really soap operas (like the ones from Taiwan and Korea) with song and dance the whole way through, but this was more enjoyable than Phantom of the Opera. That became dreary two-thirds of the way in.
i don't like musicals but Streets of Fire was good
probably because of Diane Lane as Ellen Aim in it

Okay, it looks as though Punggol East is destined to be a six-way fight on 26th January.
In other words, the ruling party could just field their cleaning auntie and still win.
Thanks for failing to see the big picture, non-WP opposition parties!
really struggling with motivation this week

I thought they had plans to "talk" to one another? Then again there's Ben Pwee who wants to run independently. Would you trust an ex-scholar who fidgets with his nose when you make him answer some tough questions?

Meh.... talking about talks speaks nothing. The very fact that several parties have already expressed interest in running for election says that they're not going to back down so easily.
SDP for one has been going into overdrive with their walkabouts, and I seriously doubt that they'll suddenly make an about turn.
I'll only be convinced of the willingness of other parties to back down when the PAP and WP candidates are the only registrants at the end of Nomination Day.
And if there are any more parties..... I seriously hope they all get pathetic single-digit votes. And by that I don't mean things like 1% of the vote..... I meant ONE single vote.
Nowadays how many opposition are in it for the glory, honor and ego...?
And if those ppl are in it just for those, wat would happen to the citizen?
Sadly, that is what most people of our current society are manufactored(spelling?) into...

That's going to be a windfall of election deposits.
I suspect though that Punggol will remain white for other reasons.
i wonder if any more "scandals" will crop up during the campaign
Maybe the doctor had to go up the wrong hole?

It'll take a brave man to bet against that.
well, 2012's scandalous news probably added up to 50 years combined
A cheating Speaker of the House......
Corrupt chiefs of CNB and SCDF......
Priests misappropriating funds for personal use.....
Teachers involved in the statutory rape of their students.....
.... all in Singapore, and all in 2012.
The world is coming to an end, I tell you.
I object to CHC's leaders being called priests but I otherwise concur. These things only happen in other countries… right?
As it turns out, the colorectal surgeon joined the PAP only 3 weeks ago.
He still has some way to go to top the other doctor who was parachuted into Tanjong Pagar GRC and won via walkover.
