At 5m population, we are the world 3rd ranking in terms of population density... Only Macau and Monaco ranks higher than Singapore...
with 6.9m next time, we might be the world most populated country in term of population density...

I have to say that this post pretty much underscores one of the biggest problems with the MIW. Simply put, their way of thinking is all about $$$$.
The thing is, you cannot put a dollar value on everything. Things like national identity and a sense of belonging cannot be quantified in any way. Granted, raising the population to 6.9 million might be good for business, but it will certainly badly mess up our quality of life and dilute our national identity which, sad, to say, is still a work-in-progress.
This proposed National Defence Duty cheapens the sacrifice of our fathers, brothers, and sons. And make no mistake: National Service is a very real sacrifice for everyone involved.

There are four cats in my house (plus another two regular visitors), and they've been scratching the furniture like crazy.
We considered buying a proper scratching post for them, but damnit, the prices are just too crazy.
I'm seriously considering DIY-ing a cat scratching post. Hmmm.....
