Yes of course! Taoism is among the oldest religion and the first few to introduce the concept of 'cause and effect'.
There are many Taoist scriptures stressing on this idea of cause and effect. In addition, Taoism not only believe that cause and effect will only affect individual but also stretches over to a higher ground - which is the idea of 'cheng fu'. it is talking about cause and effect in a broader term.
for example: A guy in a family, who is upright, honest and constantly accumulating merits and good deeds. NOT only he himself will get good karma, but also his WHOLE family will benefit.
A leader in an org, company or even country, who is upright, just and constantly accumulating good deeds and merits will also benefits his/her org, country or company.
As stated in the I Ching, a family of upright ppl will reap good fruits.
Taoist scripture Book of Ultimate Peace(Tai Ping jing) also talk about all these.
Tai Shang Gan Yin Pian(book of Tai shang explaining the good and bad deeds) says in its first sentence: good and bad karma has no doors, it is us, who invites them.
Tao Te Ching also talk about accumulating of good deeds too.
And all these rituals and rites....its ALL about repentence and seeking forgivness and thus accumulating heavenly blessings! -
