I entirely disagree. Rich people don't necessarily have good taste, unless "fashion taste" is defined by the brand. I think people walking aroud with armani t-shirts do not necessarily equate to good taste. Rather, people who know how to match colours, choose clothes with style/pattern/cut etc. are the real fashion peeps. That doesn't necessarily come at a high price, keep your eye open for trendy clothes AND a reasonable price. Those that simply go out and dump cash upon brand names are lazy-assed sheep with no creativity.Originally posted by mistyblue:Wah! Then she will have a problem with me ...
I suppose some people have $ to burn so can get the latest piece of small cloth for their ass and is so free can complain about other people's dressing.
actually she does not know how to mind her own bee's wax lah ...
Still $ is involved.Originally posted by Diesel.Okini:I entirely disagree. Rich people don't necessarily have good taste, unless "fashion taste" is defined by the brand. Actually, I had this skirt my mom passed down to me (its a wonder that its still as new as it was. Those were the good old days where things last longer than battery life) and its such a classic piece. Chilli Red, lycra. Its a piece that always brings attention and wear it sparingly cause it makes one too many nose bleed... This is my kinda fashion. No one can get it anywhere and its one of a kind today. I tend not to go for trend pieces cause they don't last and in the next season, its just plain tacky to wear them. I don't shope in shopping centers cause the things they sell are so mass media. I head off to the China town shops and they import HK pieces.Originally posted by Diesel.Okini:I like fashion, but I hate trends. I don't enjoy being just another 'number' in the street. If everyone goes for an armani shirt I sure as hell don't want to be seen wearing one! I have a phobia against the herd mentality when it comes to dressing, individuality is everything.

Correct. Once you keep on the look-out in clothes stores for good designs, you eventually get a feel of what's coming in next. It's observable, you can sense the fashions coming and going.Originally posted by thinger:"...people that can recognize trends,..."
i meant that you recognize emerging trends ie months before they actually surface.
you'd do that wouldnt you.
