Here are some commonly used tactics to approach chio bus. I've classified them under the following categories for yur convience sake:
Ah Beng style: Xiao Jie, I wan to make frien wif u. Can give me yur pager lumber or not?
Suave style: Heeelllooo Miss. I couldn't help but notice that you certainly look wonderful, even frm a distance. Care to join me for a drink at Coffee Beanz??
'Gin Nah' Pattern: Errr... Ermm... *blush-blush* I.... U.... Cangivemeyurpagernumberornot?
Cover-Girl: Haven't I seen u somewhere before in a cover magazine?? Ah Ha! U muz the *so-and-so*.... Huh? No?? Mistakened?? Maybe I am, but u certainly look like her.... So sweet-looking. Can I have yur pager number plz, so tat I can call u again in case I need to do any photo shoot for my next assignment? (Of course, the photo shoot is bullshit and the assignment... well...)
Friend-friend: My friend want to make friend wif u? *pointz to friend in distance* Can help me or not? Can u give me yur pager number??

smile a lil ... eye contact ... do wat u were doing at first .. then turn n look at her...dun stare though...have to do it subtly ... n then ..... a hint of a smile ..

Think in this way, when you approach the girl, do you think she is not nervous? She is properly as nervous as you. So thinking in this way helps me a lot. But the thing is, most of the chio bu i find are actually in the MRT that you know, it is like you walk about a strike a conversation but 20 dozens of eyes are looking at you and her, and chances are still will totally feel uncomfortable and will not give you her number. This is the tough part. May be some girls here can give me some insights. I will appreciate that. -

I once approached a girl at taka sq... she was with her friends... she seemed interested in me as she kept staring over. my friend made a bet n asked me to get her no. i walked to her, and smiled. asking whether i can befriend her. she just stood there. dumbfounded. her friends laffing... i asked 1 more time... she didn't say anything... i juz left lor.... =p
