How do you reject a homosexual w/o hurting their feelings?

  Assuming a gay, or lesbian for that matter is interested in you but you feel disgusted and do not wish to offend him or her in any way. It is clear that the person is a homosexual and his or her actions proves it. How would you react if the person shows hints of interest towards you?
